Kim and Pierce’s E-Session | Overton Park Memphis Engagement Photography

Kim and Pierce met us at Overton Park in Memphis, TN for their engagement session. They are such a fun and beautiful couple. We had a great time goofing around and getting some gorgeous images of them. The gardens at Overton Park and the architecture of the Brooks Art Museum (located in Memphis, TN next to the Memphis Zoo) lent us some beautiful backdrops for our future bride and groom’s engagement session.

Originally, Kim wanted to take all of their engagement photos out in a field of sunflowers. I was game but Mother Nature was not! With a heat wave hitting the week before our session, all the sunflowers wilted. We were bummed. But, I still managed to find a couple sunflowers for Kim and Pierce. This ended up being one of my favorite pictures of their engagement session! Thanks for such a fun evening Kim and Pierce…we still need to go get that milkshake! I am looking forward to your wedding day!

Three Adorable Months! | Memphis Children’s Photography

This little chunky monkey is signed up for our Ages and Stages package. This is Quinn’s three month session.

We asked her mom to bring in a few cute props with her name on them. This little blanket was perfect!

Quinn is such an angel; she even fell asleep for us at just the right moment!

Kinda makes you wonder what she’s dreaming about! Too cute!

Quinn is full of personality! A normally super happy baby, her mom said this was her week for fussiness! Luckily, we had no problem coaxing her into a few smiles for us!

Quinn was showing off with her rolling over and trying to sit up. We may have a crawler by her six month session!

Stay tuned, because this baby girl will be back in just a few short months for her six month photography session! We can’t wait to see how she has grown!

Downtown Memphis High School Senior Pictures - Court Square Park

I met the beautiful Ke’Yanna in downtown Memphis, at Court Square, for her senior portrait session. Court Square is a beautiful park in the middle of downtown Memphis. If you’re into movies you might recognize the park from the movie The Firm starring Tom Cruise. Well, on this beautiful Wednesday morning the star was Ke’Yanna! Seriously! Everywhere we went people asked if she was a movie star or a model! We had a lot of fun!

Ke’Yanna used to live in Memphis and wanted her high school senior photos to capture her home town. The area around Court Square offered a little bit of everything for her senior pictures. We had the gorgeous park, the fun urban feel, and the Mississippi River all within walking distance. And, Ke’Yanna can really walk in heels!

This is one of my favorite shots from Ke’Yanna’s senior photography session. I love the funky-fun urban feeling of this picture and getting out in these fun settings to photograph lovely people is what this job is all about!

Ke’Yanna has a real classic beauty! The morning of her senior photography session was actually her 18th birthday! What a fun way to start your birthday morning! She graduates in just a few short weeks. She was one of our “last minute” seniors proving that, it’s never too late to have your senior pictures taken! If you haven’t had your senior portraites taken yet, give us a call, we can always accommodate last minute requests!

Even the Memphis Fire Department showed up for our senior photo shoot! As we were taking pictures in Court Square the Memphis Fire Department showed up for a fire drill at an adjacent building. We were lucky enough to be invited to take a few fun shots on the fire truck! We were super excited to jump aboard and get a few amazing shots. Thanks to the Memphis fire fighters for all their heroic work and for having some fun with us for a few minutes!

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation Ke’Yanna! Thank you for choosing us as your senior portrait photographers. I had a lot of fun working with you. It’s such an exciting time of life to be a senior in high school! Enjoy every last minute of it!

Michelle & D.J.’s Wedding | Wedding Photography

Charlie and I had a great time photographing Michelle and DJ’s wedding last weekend and I couldn’t wait until I had all the pictures processed to share just a few of my favorites. We also had the opportunity to photograph Michelle and DJ’s engagement session last summer as part of their wedding package. Congratulations Michelle and DJ!…You guys look great!!!

Being the primary impediment to a quick return to the “beverages” on the PARTY BUS is never an enviable position on the wedding day, but members of the wedding party were great sports while we took some memorable photographs for the bridal couple.

DJ and Michelle’s family and friends sure know how to have a good time. No party-poopers allowed at this wedding!

Guests were TOTALLY geeked about the wedding cookies!!!
