We make a point of going to the Ionia Free Fair every year. It’s only a short walk from our house in downtown Ionia and it’s a real fun event. The kids have a great time riding all the rides, watching the circus and petting all the farm animals. We have a great time just people watching. I took several shots at the fair this year, but this was my favorite. It was actually quite dark when I took this shot, but I waited until the ride stopped so I could get a lengthy exposure to burn in the sky and allow the moonlight to illuminate the ferris wheel buckets and bring out their vibrant colors.
